Meet Herb. He's been lead technician for The Mower Doctor since 2004. A native of Belleview, Ohio, Herb has 25 years experience in welding, machining, fabrication as well as hydraulic cylinders/pneumatics and small engine repair. He attends annual manufacturer update seminars. On a personal note, Herb is a member of several bass clubs with 5 top ten finishes in the Lake Erie Gold Series Team Tournament, with 2 wins. He has 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
All technicians are certified and updated annually with the following manufacturers:
Service Tip: Keep your lawn mower clean. It's not necessary to spit/shine/wax, but keep the grass and dirt away from the engine cooling fins. This is located on top of the engine. It needs to breathe.
Also remove grass, dirt and debris from on top of the riding mower deck. This keeps pulleys and belts moving freely without overheating.
Yes, you can hose it off. When finished, just engage the blades and let them turn for a few minutes to induce drying and to re-heat the bearings. Your lawn mower is subject to heat exhaustion. It can overheat and catch on fire!
